Chocoholic Groom’s Chocolate Ganache Wedding Cake
It is said that nine out of ten people like chocolate. The tenth person always lies. This truism may explain why a departure from the usual white or ivory wedding cake was the Bride’s obliging concession to her chocoholic Groom. Chocolate sponge with kirsch and cherry preserve; and a ganache of full cream and 70% cocoa content Fairtrade chocolate was the Groom’s dream cake transformed into a sumptuous reality.
The bride’s bouquet of a mixture of pink coloured English roses and Rosemary was matched in every detail by the decoration on the cake. All table decorations were similarly matched allowing the theme to be carried through seamlessly to the edible handmade sugar cake decorations. The wedding breakfast itself was a small, intimate occasion held at the Indian Zest www.indianzest.co.uk in Sunbury which has a delightful, cool and airy, private function room.
Cigarillos or maltesers which are not quite so rich may be preferred alternatives; and examples of these are illustrated on the website.
Tip for the Week:
When discussing your bespoke cake, careful consideration should be given to the ingredients. High quality ingredients ensure a successful and delicious cake;and they undoubtedly make a difference to the taste. As a matter of course, Timeless uses the best possible ingredients available and, when and where possible, Fairtrade products. Consider also the different flavours. The flavour and quality of the cake is what you will want your family and guests to remember.
